Our Terms & Conditions

(don’t get caught in the rain!)

Before your first visit:

  1. Arrival Time

    1. The first time you attend, please ensure you arrive at 5-10 minutes minutes before class. This will allow us to greet you, answer any questions and get you settled in.

  2. Directions

    1. Our in-person classes take place at Levitate Brockley, 3 Sprules Road, London SE4 2NL. For detailed directions and maps please view the contact section of this website.

  3. What to Wear

    1. Wear clothes you feel comfortable sitting cross-legged in (short skirts aren’t ideal but we can normally offer you a blanket). Tracksuit bottoms, yoga or casual clothes would work perfectly, but lots of people come in work gear straight from the office. We recommend having a few layers so that you can adjust to the temperature of the studio.

Studio etiquette:

  1. Timekeeping

    1. All classes will start at the time advertised. You must arrive before the session starts.

    2. If you are running late, or in danger of missing the class, please let us know. We can often send you a link to join via Zoom instead.

    3. If you arrive more than a couple of minutes late and the class is already underway, please be aware that the teacher will generally will be unable to disrupt the class to answer the door. We know this sucks, but it is fairest for the clients who are already meditating in the room, and we wholeheartedly apologise for the inconvenience.

  2. In the Practice Area

    1. Please take off your shoes and turn off your phone before entering the studio.

    2. All cushions, mats and props are provided. No other equipment is necessary.

    3. We positively encourage Instagramming and Tweeting of our studio, however, we kindly also ask that your mobile is fully powered off before class starts.

    4. If you are able, please help your teacher by folding and storing your cushions after your class.

  3. Lost & Found

    1. All students are responsible for their own belongings. Unfortunately we have no lockable storage, though the door is locked before each class begins. We recommend keeping valuables on your person. Please feel free to bring them with you into the practice area.

    2. All items left behind will be stored for a month before being donated to charity if left unclaimed. Please contact help@levitate.london if you think you might have left something at the studio.

  5. Cancellation

    1. If you booked a class but can no longer attend, you must cancel the class.

    2. Please cancel booked classes up to 24 hours before the class start time. Your class purchase will then be transferable to another class in the future.

Memberships:

  1. Direct Debit

    1. There are two types of Direct Debit membership: Monthly Unlimited Anytime and Annual Unlimited Anytime. It takes up to 8 working days to set up a Direct Debit. If you wish to start practising immediately we can take a pro-rated payment on card until your Direct Debit comes out.  We will need your sort code, account number, full name and address to set it up. If you would like to set up a Direct Debit please come and speak to us at reception, or contact us on info@levitate.london

    2. There is no minimum term. You can ‘pause’ your Direct Debit for one month at a time should you need to, but you must notify the studio before the date your next payment is due. The membership can only be ‘paused’ for complete months at a time, not for days or weeks. You can terminate your Direct Debit anytime.
